Hotel in zona Marquesa, Dana Point

“After COVID the hotel rates increased dramatically based on the few improvements to the rooms~ The bathtubs still have no mats in the tubs so they're very slippery~ Bathroom flooring always seems dirty~ The bed coverings are 2 sheets and a thin blanket, we froze both nights! “Elevator close to our room (far end of the building) went out of service. The door on the second floor exit wasn’t working. We were forced to use the stairs and/or elevator on the opposite end of the building. We left the hotel early in the morning and returned around lunch hour and the elevator was still out of service and the 2nd floor stairs entrance/exit wasn’t working either. I called front desk to complain about the situation and the girl who answered was very rude saying that they tried...

“This was an excellent hotel but very ultra modern. Since i like traditional decor and furniture there were some things that i did not like. I prefer a chest of drawers in a hotel room not the bench with 2 little drawers which were insufficient. There was no desk just and oval table which did not suffice for our laptops. I would also prefer a microwave to a safe since warehouse 72 only had overpriced fru fru fussy food. Also the pool access was through the parking lot which was a bad design.”

“ANTS. Hotel looks ghetto from the street and parking lot, but the rooms are surprisingly modern, and clean except for the ants. I didn’t see any other bugs besides ants. Stayed for 2 nights. Only noticed a few ants the first night (less than 5). Spilled a drop of juice near the sink the 2nd day. Thought I wiped it up good enough. Nope. After turning the lights back on at 11pm to use the bathroom, there were probably 50 ants on the countertop near the sink. I called the office, to ask for some...
