“Overall the Sooke Harbour House had a feel of a luxury boutique hotel/resort. It was so enjoyable to stay on the property for sunset drinks on our room's deck, then a short walk to the dining room for an elegant meal either in the covered patio area or dining room. The bed was so comfortable with crisp sheets that it was hard to have to get up in the morning! But a nice stroll of the property and adjacent nature walk with a coffee and delicious pastry made in house from the attached coffee bar...

“My room was in a guesthouse up Catherine St and I believe it is now under different ownership. There is no longer complementary appetizers or drinks, as the previous reviews mentioned. The water temperature controls for the shower were very sloppy and difficult to control. The bathroom was not very private, as there was only sheer curtains, so I didn’t feel comfortable using it after dark. The house was old and really interesting, but very noisy when people are outside the building or coming in...
