“This is a cute and charming place if you like that old fashioned vibe. It had too many decorations for my taste though. The kitchen is very dated and the breakfast was self serve and very basic. Our room was very dusty, but it must be difficult to dust around the many items on display. There are a lot of labels and signs for the rules and regulations which took away from some of the charm.”

“The staff were friendly and helpful. The property was clean and well maintained. I wasn’t expecting a kitchen in the room, but it proved to be very convenient. The only thing that I was disappointed in, was there wasn’t a charging station for my EV Hybrid vehicle.”

Understood what I was getting into with shared bathrooms, hearing other guests absolutely destroying the toilet while I'm taking a shower, not surprised the laundry card machine and multiple vending machines ate my change; it's whatever, I've stayed in student housing before and have had a great time. “Great for last minute overnight stay before catching a super early flight because of the proximity to the airport. Need a car to get to downtown, otherwise it’s a 40 min walk. Old-fashioned room with dated furniture.”

“The only reason they didn’t receive a higher rating was that there was no daily housekeeping, it was missing a hair dryer( which they promptly rectified ) and there was no kettle in the room for tea. There is no real amenities ie a gym but the breakfast was lovely. The property has no outside garden or outdoor space to enjoy however it was a perfect walk to downtown. The staff was very nice and accommodating installing a hair dryer while we were out, cleaning our room earlier then slotted in...

The staff was really helpful as we arrived very late after our flight got delayed several times in Halifax and didn't get info in St. John's until 1am. The lovely, sweet attendant even brought us ice as it was on the other side of the restaurant”
