Hotel a Walloon Lake

“When I booked this hotel it was an AmericInn, however when I arrived it was changed to a Quality Inn with no prior indication. I did receive calls from Windham but they never left a message to identify the change prior to my check in. The building did not have any address on it to help identify it as the hotel we needed to be at. Otherwise, it was a very clean hotel. The staff did their best with what appeared to be a new system. “We traveled as a family of three, including our 4-year-old, and overall had a comfortable stay. The hotel is located about 2–3 miles outside of downtown Charlevoix, making it a convenient and short drive to the downtown area and the beach. The interiors have a pleasant rustic, wooden charm. It appeared that renovations were recently completed or still ongoing, as there was a noticeable fresh paint smell, and some minor details, like handwritten room numbers, reflected that transition phase. “No complaints. Breakfast was very good, parking in front of room was handy, staff was very nice, rooms and area were clean. Would stay again.”

“I stayed at Hotel Earl Charlevoix in May 2026. This hotel is in a perfect location to walk around the city, and the staff are very nice. At check in, I received a complementary upgrade to a room with balcony. Room was very spacious and very clean. But, here are the problems during my stay: Water pressure was very low in room on third floor making it difficult to shower. AC noise was very loud, and I had to turn it off. “The hotel was a perfect blend of nostalgia while providing updated amenities. I would highly recommend it to others. The staff was personable and professional. Two opportunities would be our room had not mini fridge or microwave and the coffee maker was in the bathroom which was inconvenient. Lastly the toilet was very low to the floor and difficult for my wife and I.”
