Rooms and facilities were older. Fridge didn’t work. Shower was mediocre. Beach chairs were saggy and there didn’t seem to be enough of them. Food portions at dinner restaurants were fairly small. The safe in the first room was not working. One whole side of the hotel has a very partial ocean view due to another hotel property blocking it. They tried to get us to go to the timeshare presentation by offering tons of free excursions and spa services but I didn’t. They also asked me more than once during check in if I was married or single and also my age which I don’t feel is relevant or any of their business.
The people working there were wonderful and so kind. They did let us change rooms which technically was a “downgrade” according to their tiers - we wanted more beds. Felt very safe even walking from the resort up and down the street. Easily took an uber to the mall and Ferris wheel. Was like 10 min.
