“No tv guide menu which is odd. Also the workout room is the smallest I’ve seen. Otherwise the rooms are clean and hotel is nice. ”

“The breakfast was good but go early because not all items are refilled. The floor of the tub/shower in our room need to be resurfaced as parts of the surface appeared to be peeling. The bottles of soap and shampoo in the shower were empty. The TV in our room kept buffering and the sound would randomly fade in and out. “We were greeted by a large private security guard who stared us down and blocked our entrance to the front desk to check in! Not the experience we were expecting. It felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. I felt like if I would have said anything the guard would have stopped me and made me leave. Apparently, this is the new protocol for Hilton hotels in Iowa City.. You have to get by a large serious guard just to check in. The front desk clerk didn't make it any better. “We arrived during a rainstorm so it was nice that there was a bar/restaurant in the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bartender/waiter was especially hardworking. The food and drinks were exactly what we ordered. Our room was clean and comfortable. The only issue was that the drain in the tub was slow. Breakfast was good with a nice selection and plentiful coffee.”
