Hotel in zona Homewood, Birmingham

“We arrived just before midnight. The staff was excellent. This was the smoothest check in we have ever experienced. ”

“Our first room that was given to us was not even supposed to be rented out so it was gross from work being done. The staff was helpful and switched our room for us. Not the nicest place but it was ok.”

“Due to several things. Very disappointed!! Food was good once we got it. At630am the pancakes were served...then 20 min later the eggs came. I was to have a shower tub unit and we checked in went to room and unpacked then we saw we had it no tub shower unit my wife is handicapped and loses balance I did complain but girl said they had 1 only always. Said it very hard to get with just 1. Bummer...wife ended up not bathing. The pool I thought was heated nope freezing even outside.”

“Parking was kind of difficult cause there were a lot of commercial vehicles that parked on several parking spaces. Hotel should make designated parking spaces for them. The entire room was very clean and beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay again. ”

“My husband I have a lot of overnight stays in Birmingham due to surgeries. This was the first time staying at Best Western, and the last time. The shower rod in the bathroom was about to come off the wall. The tub was rusted, there was dead bugs along the edge of the tub, you could tell that the floors had no t been swept or mopped in who knows how long. The bottoms of my socks were black. We even found someone’s sock in the closet, that tells u how well they clean. Even the baseboard was coming...

“I’m not sure if the reviews were made up but this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Everything was so gross. We had mold in our bathroom and bugs in the room. Breakfast was horrible and made us sick. The entire hotel smelled like weed and it was not appropriate for our children. Do not recommend. ”

“Hotel is undergoing an extensive renovation. The hotel is a mess right now. I’m hoping once they complete the update the hotel will be worth the money you are paying. Right now it’s not. The breakfast was also under par as compared to my previous experiences there.”

“The hotel was terrible. There were wall mounted air fresheners spraying constantly and the smell smacks you in the face the second you enter. They are definitely trying to cover something up. Bathroom fan didn’t work and obviously hasn’t for a long time cause there was a bunch of mold growing on the bathroom ceiling. There was broken glass on the floor in our room and garbage under the nightstand. The a/c was making a weird noise that kept us awake but it was too hot to turn it off. By far the...

“We’ve stayed here several times because it is conveniently located.”

“Thankfully the room was clean and mostly comfortable. We were on the first floor near an exit so we had to listen to a lot of door slamming. It would have been enough to keep me awake if I was a light sleeper. I was taken aback that the property charges a parking fee. I’ve never paid parking for a hotel unless the parking was in a garage. This seems like greed. There was only one person working the bar/cafe/dining area. ”

“This is a classic "you get what you pay for " place. The room was small, no furniture except for the bed. The TV remote was pretty bad. I needed a place to spend the night, and that was all I got. Not complaining just stating the facts. ”
