Guest house a Isola Shackleford Banks

“Parking is disastrous. Plan on using the valet service at $15 a day so you don’t have to walk down the road to park your car and retrieve it. Management should plan to pave the grass out front. Other than that and broken ice machine very nice stay and good restaurant.”

“Loved the clean room, lovely balcony and the lookout area on the third floor.”

“Clean room and lobby very friendly staff quick and easy check in and out highly recommend!”

“Sono stato tratto in inganno dal marchio Holiday Inn. È stato un inferno! Mi sono fermato due notti e non mi hanno rifatto la camera. Mi hanno proposto un rimborso di 15 dollari. Ho accettato: che alternativa avevo? Mi è stato detto che il personale non era più disponibile. Tra l'altro, al momento della partenza il rimborso proposto il giorno prima non è più stato riconosciuto. Spero che il manager prenda provvedimenti.”

“Room was clean”

“very helpful and friendly staff. we would, and will, return to stay with them.”

“Very pleasant.”

“Parking was a little tight but everything else was good”

“Very clean. All the amenities one might need and having a kitchenette was helpful. I have mobility issues and everyone on the staff was incredibly helpful. And for the owners of Beacon, I would suggest leaving instructions for the air...

“It’s nostalgic to me as we went there when I was a child and later took my kids there when they were small. The place looks almost exactly like it did 25 years ago. Some extra wood nailed in here and there to make it safe to walk. Lots of areas where one could easily trip. One problem; they said they were no longer dealing with Expedia and charged me extra for taxes they say Expedia didn’t collect. I want to look into this because it seems “fishy” to me.”

“The rooms are brand new and beautiful. Great for a weekend at the beach.”

“Great place for a few days due to the small size. Needs a small dinner table.”

“We loved our stay here! The hosts were so informative and accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed learning more about the property and the area from them. Also loved having off street parking. The bungalow is decorated so well! Even the sailing boat mobile on the fan was just so perfectly done for the space. We didn’t spend time in the loft but the main floor provided all the space the two of us needed. The outside guest shower was just what the doctor ordered after a beach and ferry day and also...
