Motel a Northern Lower Peninsula

“Very clean place. Motel was what you’d expect for the reasonable price. Downtown Gaylord was the surprise. What a charming town! Having a nice clean motel in the middle of town a real plus. Walkable to shops and restaurants. I was there during color season. Highly recommend.”

“The room was small and pretty clean...it was worth the price the motel charged not Expedia! It was suppose to have 8,5 rating and it was more like a 5. I thought Expedia was suppose to be cheaper way to go....it was not in this case ...60.00 more! Because of the location it was worth the 105 the hotel charged...not the 166.62 Expedia charged us.”

“Our room was small with on one upright chair to sit on, but it was adequate for two adults. The price was economical and the room contained all of the necessary amenities. There is a very nice beach on the bay. The breakfast was very good. The only negative was on our second morning the girl on duty did not do a very efficient job of keeping up with replenishing the food when items ran out. Overall, we would not hesitate to stay again.”

“The room was very clean. Great central location for sight seeing. Building looked brand new and furnishings were in great condition. Parking was very easy. However, walls are thin, could hear snoring from the next room. The room did have a sound machine to help. Also you can’t keep your window blind open because people walking by your room can see into your room. If you don’t spend much time in your room wouldn’t be an issue.”

“The room was a traditional small motel room that met our needs for a stopover on a road trip. The room was a bit stuffy. It had amenities like in-room coffee and refrigerator. The office offered some snacks and additional toiletries. It was located across the street from a restaurant/bar but there was not much else around that you could walk to after being in a car all day.”

“My husband and I stayed here for our Anniversary. It was absolutely perfect! Quiet, lakefront setting, Rocking chairs on the covered porch, a bonfire with new friends every night and a wonderful bar on site to enjoy an old fashioned drink. We reserved a suite that had a lake view and exuded a timeless comfort. The owners were right there on site and so welcoming, including offering a small breakfast every morning. They even recommended some great restaurants nearby for dinner. Birch Lodge...

“Very clean and more amazing than we anticipated.”
