Hotel a St. Charles

“I booked this room for location, price on a last minute price/availability needed stay, and after reading reviews that were positive. Unfortunately, I’m not sure what the positive reviews were based on. If it was on the bed alone, I agree, it was a clean place for me to lay my head for 7 hours. But the entire hotel was old, the rooms are in desperate need of repairs and cleaning. The bathroom ceiling was full of black mold. And for a non-smoking hotel, the hallways all reeked of cigarette smoke....

“This property was very clean everywhere. Beds were comfortable room was large. Great atmosphere in this hotel. Breakfast was included and provided plenty of options. Definitely would pick this hotel again.”

“This was my 3rd stay in this hotel. Each time it has been clean, terrific staff, great breakfast, nice beds etc. This is the best hotel in St.Charles. Also great area to walk to shopping.”

“Pro: The room was spacious and clean. I love the fact that we had a microwave and fridge in the room. The bed was super comfy as well. Con: On several occasions we hard a dog barking and people talking in the hall. We had the breakfast buffet and it was NOT worth it for the money you pay. It was almost $30.00 for two of us. I get a better free continental breakfast at other hotels. ”

“Room we received had ceiling leak and moldy smell. Bed was awfully uncomfortable and bathroom shower was dirty. Curtains were torn and dirty. Very disappointed and would not ever stay here again.”

“Decent place, easy access off the freeway, dining close by and a good breakfast. Only complaint, walls are thin. We had a adjoining room and the doors have zero sound blocking”

“Nothing spectacular everything was very clean always the room staff was nice I didn’t do any laundry or anything I was only there for two days but like I said the room was clean that’s all I care about lungs I don’t see anything running around in there with more legs than I have it’s OK”

“Met a few other families for our time in Chicago, would not say this was good for having smaller children. Nice property, had good pools and grounds, but, would not allow food not purchased at the hotel outside or at the pool…and if you have small kids and picky eaters this was not good. We had a day we hung around with the other families and wanted to have pizza in a common area but were told we could not, so ended up cramped in one families room”
