Hotel a Stretto di Mackinac

“Beds were hard, no working lights in the stairwells (no elevators) and very limited breakfast options. Your 2nd floor balcony is a shared balcony with the whole floor but the only access is through your room. Room looked clean, easy access from the bridge and the fire pit was a nice perk when arriving later in the evening. A/C worked well too.”

“It was great to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Close to the state park with lighthouse museum and fort michilimackinac within easy walking distance. The free shuttle bus to Sheplers ferry dock was also appreciated.”

“Pay attention to your booking. Picture may show a cabin but will be a hotel room. They need to do something about the moisture and the mildew smell. There was wrapper in the drawer so I know they don’t clean 100%. Bathroom had mold on ceiling. Was a decent stay though. Water park was fun for the kids and was convenient to the towns. “It could have used some updating, and our screen sliding door had rips (lots of mosquitos). We got in late and didn't get to use the pool or hot tub (but it looked nice). We did have a room with spectacular view, and that really made everything worth it. Staff was friendly/helpful. I would stay again because the location was really everything, but can't quite give it a 5.”

“I liked the location. However, in the describtion they should had said it was adjacent to a ferry service. Second, they were a lake side hotel but they did not give the lake side rooms. Third they advertised as Breakfast included. They had a pot of coffee and a basket of prepackaged muffins and coupon for a local restraurant two for one breakfast costing 20 one was called Toast and Go. “Really loved the vibe at Pine Cottage. Room was very clean and ours had a great view, comfortable mattress. Guests can relax on the porch chairs and the breakfast was great. Would stay again.”
