“If you are looking for a wooded setting out of city noise, this lodge might be for you. There is a cute diner style restaurant with Marian’s ice cream and a cute check in and outside seating area. The pool is under renovation and the lodge building needs work. I would not recommend driving in the back of the building by the room entrances due to the very large potholes in the parking area. I was also concerned about the state of the concrete stairs and walkways. Several of the steps are cracked...

“The room itself was clean, but the bed was awful (not comfortable at all), the air conditioner was very loud (hard to sleep), and the shower head was not great. The people there are nice but the accommodations need work. When we go to Estes Park we always try to stay at an independent hotel. This one needs some work.”

“The only thing that I would mention, is there was a bad smell that came from the ac unit. We were able to still stay, but as we were leaving, the people next to us mentioned they also had a bad smell coming from their unit. He said they actually had to turn the unit off. Other than that, the staff was very friendly, the check in and check out was also very quick.”

“Location can’t be beat for a couple days spent around Rainier. Room was a little musty smelling upon arrival, but did air out decently with the AC on and window open for the afternoon. Also there was no functioning light above the tub / toilet area, admittedly I didn’t notice until after front desk hours and wasn’t able to ask for assistance. Overall was fine for the price paid given the peak season.”
