“I was incredibly disappointed in the conditions of the hotel. It is very very ran down. The bug situation is insane. It’s common sense there would be bugs by a lake but wow. Can’t even open your sliding door to the patio or you’ll be swatting mosquitos and whatever else was flying around that they claimed weren’t mosquitos. However, my daughter and I woke up with several bites. Management was great. They understood and allowed us to check out and obtain a refund. ”

“Breakfast was really good. Our sink did not drain. We stayed one night only and there was a power outage, which is out of their control. It affected all of Carlsbad. They kicked everyone out of the hotel and into the parking lot for 30 to 40 minutes I would guess. They eventually decided we could reside in the hotel with the power out... ”

“This was such a nice hotel to stay at. My best friend and I were only able to visit for one night, but it was absolutely worth it. We will 100% be coming back.
Bob at the front desk was the best! Very knowledgeable and personable. He had an amazing attitude, a contagious smile, and you could tell he actually liked his job and wanted to be there!
It was also really cool how my name was displayed on the TV right when I walked in. ”

“For the price, I found it to be quite nice. It was simple, doesn't look like much from the outside, but the rooms were very clean. They also use the newer, quieter air conditioners, as opposed to the old, loud things still far too common at budget hotels in the U.S. Pool was clean and cool. Nice soft lighting around the beds for winding down. I would stay here again, no hesitation. ”
