Hotel a Kingvale

“Loved our stay here. It was very peaceful and the reception staff were very friendly. They were great with communication and instructions. We got to our cottage after hours and it was a smooth check-in with the instructions emailed to us. The cottage is very comfy and spacious.It was about a 10 min drive to everything like downtown Truckee and it said 15/20 min to Palisades Tahoe but felt like less. ”

“Size and location of property was good, but owner knew the oven was broken since he text me minutes before I was able to check in and did not have it repaired or have an alternative to bake with. We were left with a make due kind of attitude. For the cost, there should have been something there to bake with especially since we were staying 4 nights and a party of 8. Maybe have Amazon deliver a toaster oven?? Owner has not reinvested any of its proceeds to updating or providing decent towels and...

“The unit is renovated, with modern appliances, and bathroom, the bedding is confortable ans overall we really enjoyed our stay there! The location is perfect, 5 min walk to the Gondola and near the shops and restaurants while being just away from the noise.”

“I would stay here again. On site sauna and gym open til 10pm, gym is small but clean. They also have an on-site restaurant thats extra but breakfast was fresh and quality was excellent. One mile walk into downtown Truckee and 0.5 mile walk to nearest plaza that has a decent Thai and wine restaurant. Short 20 mins drive from Palisades if there's no traffic.”

“Breakfast is ok. Routine items on the menu. Clean room but the housekeeping person only made the bed and replaced towels. Didn't clean the bathroom sink or vacuum the floor.”

“We don’t have a whole lot to complain about, so 4 stars is harsh, but Expedia didn’t give a 4.5 star option. It was a clean and quiet hotel where the rooms and public areas were all in good shape. (We didn’t have time to use their spa and pool.) If we were to stay in this area, I wouldn’t mind picking this hotel again. “Fabulous property. Comfy bed, lovely view. Quiet, peaceful, good location.”

“We were there the first day of the off season so it was very quiet in the village but necessary shops and a few restaurants were still open. We enjoyed it - very peaceful. Enjoyed the hot tub in our building in the evening. Would recommend to anyone interested in visiting Tahoe.”

“The room looked clean, but unfortunately it did not smell fresh. There was a noticeable odor, like dust and something stored away for a long time, which made the stay a bit uncomfortable. With better ventilation or a deeper cleaning, the experience could have been much better.”
