“We booked the top floor because it has that attic, Harry Potter feeling.
OMG! It is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The room is so beautiful. We felt like we were living in Harry Potter's house, minus where Harry really lived in.
Our only wish is that we can live in a place like this permanently.
Our kids loved it.
It really has that Precious Moments cottage feeling.
For me, it really reminded me of the hostel we stayed in Frankfurt, Germany and Britain.

“This is a recently renovated Gold Rush era hotel, very quaint and authentic. The rooms and bathrooms have been updated to modern standards which is nice, but have authentic period decor/antiques. The town is VERY small and cute, extremely quiet (in general) and a walkable historic self-guided tour. It makes a great base of operations for exploring the area.
A couple of things to know: it is 3 story, but because of the age, there is no elevator (typical with Gold Rush era hotels). They have one...
“Had a nice stay here over the weekend! The staff is very friendly and quickly accommodating to any needs. The lodge is tucked away in a quiet, but not too secluded spot, so it’s very easy to find, yet is in a safe area & away from any busy traffic. The highway is just up the road, but the road noise gets muffled a bit by the forest between - very nice! I’ll stay here again for sure if I’m in the area.”
“I really wish I could have stayed here more than one night. The staff was so friendly. The hotel includes a restaurant, sauna, and lounge areas with gas fire pits. Right behind it is a golf course and the best part is the view of Lake Tahoe in front of the hotel. Rooms were nice and clean. Most beautiful city I have ever been. I loved every second.”
“Our stay was short but we enjoyed it very much. Extremely prime location especially for young families, clean, tidy and useful amenities. Tesla charging station is a plus. We would stay there again. ”

“Entrance to the home was a bit scary because of the dropped off to the garage floor, especially at night when it was dark! The hot tub didn't look clean based on the look of the water. Other than that, everything else was fine. ”
“I enjoy the reasonable pricing, quietness, great location and friendly customer service. The hotel is a throw-back, it's older, an original. I like that it still has the old Tahoe vibe and is always clean. I stay here frequently and it's always a clean bed to sleep in, and easy walk to the beach, easy parking and my Granddaughter loves Char Pit is next door, great burgers. Our routine is long beach day, burgers at Char Pit and then off to bed. Love it!”
“I love this hotel! Right in the center of Squaw Valley; a quick walk to restaurants and bars, or out into nature. The staff is friendly, and my wife was very happy to be there. All in all great place that we'd be happy to go back to.”
