First, hot water for shower was limited. At first I thought there was something wrong with our room. I went to the front desk and the lady didn’t seem to care in my opinion. She asked “well is it not working or just not hot?” After having maintenance come to the room, he told me it was at the maximum. I couldn’t even wash my hair because it was cold. I eventually learned you had to take a shower early in the morning or around 3pm, the water was warm at those times.
Second, the food reservations were difficult to figure out and they didn’t have many options and we were there for 7 days. Only 2 lunch options and 2 dinner options if you didn’t have a reservation. The buffet was good but getting a drink, even water, was slow and food was cold or limited if you went after 8pm. However, they have awesome desserts all the time!
Third, no beach! We didn’t get to enjoy the beach at all. They had a sign posted that the hurricane destroyed the beach and that we could access it at our own risk. It was very dirt and smelly.
Fourth, they had a small amount of chairs available in the sun. A couple days they closed seating areas early for private events, which didn’t give us any place to move to unless we wanted to be in the shade and it was chilly. We seemed to be in the way and hurried to be done for the day. I like to lay out until the sun goes away and we couldn’t do that in those days or if we didn’t have good seats. I got up at 6:30 one morning to get chairs and it was gone by 8.
