I took my wife here for our anniversary/her birthday trip and it was our first experience at an all inclusive. TL;DR This place is a DREAM! The resort has amazing layout and has something for everyone based on what your taste is. It was a perfect fit for us because we’re folks who enjoy the peace and quiet but like having the option of going to the party. The Swimout Oceanview Junior Suite and (and the master suite) are absolutely worth it as they always seem to remain a nice cool temperature. That way you can retreat to them if the larger pools get too crowded or too warm in the Mexico heat,
Most of all the service above what truly makes this place feel like your own personal heaven. They make sure to remember your name and always treat you like family if you treat them well. A special shoutout to Nidel, Luis, Jacob, Roger, and Brian for their excellence service and making us feel like we never wanted to leave.
I see a lot of folks complain about the beach and I can understand because other resorts have those turquoise blue waters you look for in your vacation spot but it turned out that this year was a terrible year for sargassum (look it up and get familiar with it. You’ll be upset if your beach vacation is ruined by it) and Secrets has a barrier to protect its beaches from it. It’s not a perfect solution as some still gets through but it’s nothing compared to what has slammed other resorts in the area, and it’s well maintained.
