Hotel vicino a Santa's Land Family Theme Park and Zoo - Cherokee

“I was very sad to see Cherokee go down so much since I was there as a kid. Although I’m grateful for the job that it brought to the area having the casino it has really made. Everything else looks so rundown. Shops were falling apart. people were very nice everywhere we went. I probably would not stay at this hotel again although the staff was so sweet.”

“Everything was great with the exception of comfort. The beds were like sleeping on a rock. ”

“It was nice to have a laundry room since we've been traveling a while. The locations is excellent and the owners are good people. However, some of the room conditions could be improved during off season. Examples from our room include a desk chair that would flip you over; and a toilet that rocked with a seat that looked burnt under the lid. Just minor stuff. Overall, it was a quite, nice place to stay. We've stayed here several times now and each time has been comfortable.”

“This hotel is going through renovations and the walls are incredibly thin. The hotel rooms are old and outdated. The front desk staff - in particular Laura charged my card a damage fee because she said the tv was too loud while we were gone to the casino and it cause both rooms next to us to leave the hotel. She lied. She is a racist. On my form to sign for the room she asked my nationality. I asked her what was that about ? Her reply was I was just being funny. I should have left then. We have...

“The bathroom wasn’t cleaned. The toilet was disgusted, pretty dirty ”

“The check in process took forever. The lady at the front was friendly but new and had no idea what she was doing. While standing there and she was calling for help i watched german roaches climb on the desk through her folder holder. Once we got to our room it was ok. Cleanish...shower was gross. Ashtray out on back porch was full of used cigarettes and the seats were very worn in. Will not stay here again. ”

“Although the room itself was nice it was very dusty as if it had been cleaned a month ago and not used since. During my 3 night stay housekeeping never came even when requested. Safe in room did not work. Hotel was very crowded even on weekday and long wait at valet…very unorganized. Lots of restaurant choices but most of them were only open at night. Probably will not be back unfortunately.”

“Expedia let us make reservations several months ago for Super Bowl Weekend but did not coordinate with the owners of Newfound Lodge as the hotel was closed for the season. Expedia should not be making reservations for a hotel that is closed and also should let customers know that it wasn’t going to be open. I don’t blame Newfound Lodge but this needs to be fixed! ”

“Check in went smoothly, they even asked if I had a preference of floor. Room was clean and super hot shower. Bed was good but pillows were a bit firm. As far as breakfast it was your average motel spread, but not terrible. Would stay here again if in the area.”
