“Honestly, we weren’t sure what to anticipate, since we mainly stayed in rental homes before. The Lodge proved to be an excellent choice for our family of four, including two kids. “We stayed at the PlumpJack Inn in Olympic Valley for a ski trip and booked the one-bedroom suite. Just a heads up — it’s essentially two connecting hotel rooms. “The place exceeded my and my family's expectations, a very cozy place, clean, tidy, with all the comforts. We felt at home. We would return. Teresa was an excellent host, she left us a welcome letter, a property manual, suggestions for restaurants and activities nearby, a very quiet neighborhood. I only recommend putting salt on the entrance stairs to prevent snow accumulation and avoid an accident. For everything else. Wonderful experience”

February 1st, and snow is sparse in Tahoe. We parked at the Brockway Summit Parking, but crossed the road and headed up the mountain on Spur Trail. It was warm and quiet. About a 2 mile hike up to the vista point, and the view was not disappointing! Gorgeous lake and the company of good friends.
