“The Golden Inn in its day was the perfect place to stay. And for me, today it is still the perfect place to stay. The Golden Inn is one of those mature roadside motels I remember staying in as a kid while on family trips. I was in the area for a couple of days for a little gathering and needed a place to sleep and shower. As mentioned, the Golden Inn is an older motel with modern updates”

“I most likely will not stay here again. The reason behind this being my room was not upkept by housekeeping staff like it was promoted to be. My trash was not emptied once by a staff member, I had to take it out to the back myself, my linens were not changed and had dust/crumbs on them, my room was never cleaned by staff and neither was the bathroom. My room door would not open with the keycard alone i had to yank and push on it in order for it to open, they put in a maintenance request for it...

“Elevator had an electrical issue at some point on Saturday. Management decided that it would be better to wait until Monday to get it fixed. Electricians do make weekend service calls?? Breakfast food insufficient for the number of guests on both Saturday and Sunday mornings. The breakfast coffee and orange juice was empty and staff members were in no hurry to address it once notified.”

“The pool wasn't functioning, but the location was interestingly snuggled between two national chain hotels. It was a neat departure from the big chains”

“It’s 2 stars. I only needed a roof and a bed for a night. There was some work needed with walls and ceiling. Didn’t bother me at all. Folks were nice. Worth it. I will be back.”
