“A new building designed in the style of colonial era homes. Larry and Patricia were terrific hosts. Breakfast was made to order and amazing, including biscuits made according to Larry’s grandmother’s recipe. Comfy bed, plush towels. The dimmer switches for the lights are a great touch. Plenty of parking, nice large backyard with tons of birds. Remote location so it’s nice and quiet. Absolutely would stay here again! ”

“Loved every minute vacationing at the Guest House "Holly Hill" in Charles City, VA! The Saltwater Pool was extremely luxurious and relaxing! Even though we had quite a few days of rain, the sun still came out long enough for us to swim in the pool! The two new managers Justin and Charles were very nice and helpful. This was their first year managing the property and they did an excellent job! Was sad that Steve Rula, Jr has retired and we missed not seeing his smiling face! Wish Steve the best...

“Property was ok it’s just the sliding glass door didn’t lock, the living room TV didn’t work and there was a mess in the bathroom.. Looked like the previous guest spilt a strawberry smoothie or something. We got in late and left early so it worked for the evening. Not sure we’d go back..”

“The property was very quiet but there was trash left outside the door for at least 3 of the 4 days that we stayed by previous occupants. No clean linen was ever dropped off or toiletries had to keep washing towels. Ants were crawling out of the dresser. Pools were nice and clean and check-in was a little longer then expected.”

“This is a resort like hotel where big tour groups stay. Overall we were pleased with the location and comfort. There were minor things that were not working such as treadmills and some ice machines but as a whole we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Specifically their continental breakfast is more than that. Their location is in walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg. Our room was spacious and the bed comfortable.
