Nothing went well.. it's a great idea not well developed. The place is on the beachfront, and thats amazing. On the other hand, the place has been not very well maintained. Low rating because of several problems we had due to scarcity of maintenance amd misconduct on how to present the facility.

Great staff. The room was great. Ask to get a beachfront room on the 3rd floor. The trees on the property cut down on the ocean view for the 1st and 2nd floors. The hot tubs were not on. There is an area for a bar, but it is not staffed or stocked. Know before you go that this is in a residential area and there are no restaurants or markets within walking distance. Each cab ride to town was $50US. If you are looking for a remote getaway, this is a great option.

Angelina 28 was everything we expected. This is a fourteen unit, apartment building offering quiet privacy by the beach. Easy access is through a 24 hour guarded gate by the main 307 highway, for which you will likely need a rental car. Stock up with groceries at the supermercado in Puerto Morelos on your way. Manuel and Abby were our communitive, congenial hosts and promptly settled us in. They were friendly and helpful during our whole visit and we couldn't have asked for nicer hosts. Cleaning and maintenance staff also did a great job. Excellent room service was every few days and common areas were cleaned daily. Our quiet, spacious, two bedroom, two bathroom unit (101) was tastefully decorated, overlooking the pool and beach. Potable water is supplied. Angelina 28 on Playa Del Secreto is far from the madding crowd. Turning either south or north, after passing a few short rocky areas, we were able to walk for miles on the beautiful sandy beach - no vendors and no crowds. Some days, we were able to swim in the warm ocean and other days the surf was high, but still made for a lovely stroll along the waters edge. As mentioned, you will need a car as there are no restaurants or stores nearby; this is not an all inclusive resort! We enjoyed shopping for groceries, returning to barbeque by the pool or prepare a meal in our unit. Puerto Morelos is an easy 15 minute drive to the north. Five stars from Jane & Mark!

The room offered a beautiful view and was tastefully decorated. Improvements could be made with the following: more food storage containers, kitchen faucet was loose didn't seem to run warm water, better bathroom showers allowing two rooms to shower at the same time (cold water or lacking warmth), front desk availability and a means to contact management for assistance, as well as improved staffing. Both hot tubs were out of service for the entire duration of our 6 day trip. The staff that was there were extremely pleasant and helpful though. Rooms were clean and spacious.

Pros: Great rooms with lots of space, cute pool and beach area, beautiful ocean and sunrise views and friendly stuff. Best if you’re looking for one quiet place for your entire stay. Cons: It’s hard getting around without a car. The beach area is rocky. (The nicer beach area is in-front of Valentine). no daily housekeeping, and no 24/7 front desk. The most frustrating part of our six day stay was having to ask for re supplies like hand soap, trash bags, tissue paper. They would only hand out the smallest amount. The stuff were friendly, but definitely did not intend to do any more than they were asked. When we asked for a refill of hand soap and for our trash to be picked up on day #3, I assumed they would do basic housekeeping since they were entering the room. The gave us more hand soap and didn’t do anything else. Our bedding was not changed in the six days we were there, the room was never cleaned and we eventually realized that we had to take our own trash and recycling out. The one night there were loud guests sitting outside and drunk singing so loud at 2am. The ocean waves were pretty loud - this singing was louder than the waves! I had to eventually ask them if they could quiet it down. The loud guests were out of Angelina 28’s control, however if they really had 24/7 front service like is advertised on Expedia then I wouldn’t have to be the one that dealt with drunk guests.

Beautiful apartment with amazing views. Nice and quiet.we would definitely come again. Reception somewhat spotty and pool could use a very thorough clean. You cannot really swim right in front- very rocky,but we had a rental car to take us to beaches.very good value for money.

Everything was very clean, staff very responsive and accommodating. The view is glorious- it’s a hidden gem. You won’t regret booking. Only small knock is the lack of consistent hot water. We went on a girls trip and had such a wonderful time- 100% would stay again.

This place has potential to be a 5 star accommodation. We travelled as a family of 5 and the low rating is due to the initial experience: read to the end.Expedia has the map location pin as Puerto Morelos but it is actually 20 minutes south.This was misleading and forced us to rent a car.You access the property after following a fairly long dirt pot-hole road. All this led us to feel like we'd been deceived and questioning six night stay.There is no food or restaurants nearby so we purchased groceries on the way. The kitchen is fine but limited and not set up for cooking large meals (no coffee filters, spices, cooking oils). There were 4 minor maintenance issues that easily could have been addressed prior to arrival (kitchen faucet is completely detached from counter and only held by pipes, bathroom sink is not secured to counter and freely moves, missing screen on a screen door/other ripping (bad mosquitos!), TP holder broken). The good stuff: A28 is an amazing union of nature and modern architecture which brings the awesome forces of nature right into your living space.Elements of modern durable materials combined with timeless natural materials makes for a great experience.We stayed second floor (101) which has full glass doors providing a visual and audio experience; wind, big waves, sunrises, and palm trees waving.Beach is rocky with white sand areas and a long white sand stretch to walk.If prepared, you won't need to leave and will forget about Puerto Morelos.

We had an amazing trip , Angelina 28 apartments super comfortable the personal is super friendly,it's a property by the ocean to me lock great is hard to keep everything spotless since sand and some guest did not pick up after them selfs but over all was a great experience, my kids get to see some wild life iguanas, turtles and other animals the live there ,we stay 5 nights the first three the ocean didn't lock so good little sargazo on it but the last 2 night the ocean clear out and we had some beautiful views, it's about 10 min driving from Puerto Morelos market stores not bad for groceries if you had transportation.

Definitely a beautiful place.. Francisco made us feel like home.. if you want to relax while being in a serene location.. look no more. Puerto Morelos is nearby and lots to do nearby.. highly recommended!
