Hotel in zona San Elijo Hills, San Marcos

“Hotel is Right next to the freeway. Driving up was a simple inn. Plenty of parking. A bit sketchy. Our room was on the other side of the freeway facing the back of a business. Woke up to find that the shower handle was broken. So no shower for us. When we brought it up to management they didn’t try to make it better or even offered an apology. $148, not worth it without a working shower. Grab and go breakfast bread and coffee. We will not be coming back!”

“We stayed in an interior view room, the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. However, the old A/C was super noisy and disrupted everyone’s sleep. We asked for staff to look into it but whatever they did (if anything) did not help. Also, the breakfast was bare minimum quality - fresh waffles were good but the rest - bacon, sausage, boiled eggs, cereal left a lot to be desired on quality. There was fresh fruit and yogurt that was good. There are a lot of places to eat close by so not the end...

“Chose the Hampton Inn Poway as an extra night on my birthday trip knowing that this isn't a fancy resort by any means but Hampton Inn always comes with great stays and calm environments. The stay started out ok with the gentleman at the front being very helpful and even offering an "upgrade". We got to the room to notice a musty smell from the AC being off. We were given a room with one bed instead of two and a pull out couch (no problem). When turning on the AC, the AC the entire stay could not...

“This older hotel is under renovation. We had a new room on top floor which was nice but has some small flaws in design. The bathroom light is extremely bright on motion sensor so you can’t turn off. Also new shower head is very loud Bed is comfy and overall good value in a town without hotels. Walk to beach and restaurants. Pool is brand new Should be all good in few months after clean up. Lobby was closed.”

“We stayed for 5 nights and were happy with the stay. The breakfast houses were decent and covered the standard continental spread. Plenty of parking was available. Microwave and refrigerator were handy to eat anything that we wanted in the room”

“Room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The room was spacious with a couch and ottomans available for seating. We didn't hear a lot of noise from the hallway or outside. Bathroom is a bit dated. Large breakfast bar and in-room complimentary snacks. Overall a nice base camp for Escondido activities.”
