Hotel a Mackinaw City

“The photos are deceiving. It looks like a well maintained hotel however, it is an old motel with alot of outside, outdated stairs that the wood was split on the treads, railings we shaky and it was difficult to get luggage up to the room. When I got there the TV didn't work, they told me that they thought all of the TV's had been switched out and the RCA TV's didn't work with the new cable they had, they didn't have cable, they had Antenna TV. We had 15 stations and at least 5 were Spanish TV...

“Clean and cozy! Loved the vibe inside, plus totally walkable to the main strip, Shepler’s ferry, and any of the local restaurants. Check-in/out was remote too, no hassle or worry at any point. Price is super fair for a simple little place to stay!”

“Not what pictures portray. Living in Michigan my entire life I think all of mackinaw city has depleted in cleanliness and price gauging. We booked a “superior room” which means nothing like the photos. We were told it’s just a standard queen with a water view balcony. The room was so dirty.. mold in the shower on the ceilings, stains on the sheets, filthy lampshades. The lady at the front desk was as nice as she could be and the manager moved us over one room.. slight cleanliness improvement as...

“Worst stay ever. The room had a strong unpleasant odor, and the heater was not working properly. Despite the cold weather, the room never got warm enough, making the stay very uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the shower curtain and curtain rod were already broken when we arrived, which showed a lack of maintenance and attention to basic room upkeep. Overall, the hotel did not meet even basic expectations for comfort and cleanliness. I would not stay here again.”

“1st...just trying to get the door opened..they give you the code but don't tell you about the other buttons that need to be pushed/used...2nd...you had to body slam yourself to get the door open. The carpet and floor are so warped the door wouldn't open or close without a body slam..the door wouldn't lock . The 4 batteries in the door fell out when you either open or closed the door..3rd..it was very damp in the room..4th..no hot/cold symbols on the water handles..it took awhile to figure out...

“Cuando llegué todo se veía aparentemente limpio pero tuve la peor experiencia de encontrar 2 chinches en la cama, la aparte de afuera del balcón lleno de telarañas y las sillas así como el ventanal para salir al balcón que da a la playa muy sucias, por otro lado la tina de baño al bañarse nunca se fue el agua, totalmente tapado. Muy mala experiencia, piden la tarjeta por si deja uno en malas condiciones la habitación; para cobrar cualquier situación, cuando ellos no tienen la higiene en ella....

“From the outside it looks like a nice place, the room was clean but there were ants in the bathroom. There was a fridge in the closet but no microwave, the room was dark as there is only one lamp on the nite table. The room is sadly lacking ac outlets and no lamp near the table. We have never seen a coffee pot like the one there, when you pour the coffee it leaks out over everything, also there was only one pack of coffee, we had to go ask for more.
