Hotel a Brookville

“Front desk lady was friendly and helpful. When we got there there was a family with 3-5 kids sitting outside the main entrance in camping chairs who were always out there (adults were still there past 11pm), almost as if they lived out of this hotel or the shady motel nearby. The elevator rugs were filthy like the other reviews mentioned, and they just bolted another dirty rug on top. The room itself was clean, ac worked well, but the tub had some weird staining on the floor, enough that I chose...

“This is a "you get what you pay for" property...Fairly inexpensive, but an old, not at all upgraded facility. Had some odors, soap left over on the tub from previous guest, NO coffee. Refrigerator worked well...but strange note to close the bathroom door when using the shower because the steam sets off the fire alarm. Had the fire alarm gone off, the charge was $250 to pay for the fire dep't call. Very strange arrangement. This may be a property you want to avoid.”

“I chose Golden Inn because of all the excellent reviews and they were accurate. Nothing fancy, just a very clean, well maintained, old school motor inn. A very quiet and peaceful night. Super friendly and helpful owner. I believe the owner is the staff.”

“Room had a weird smell, AC unit screeched whenever the fan activated, batteries in remote were dead, no body wash in the shower and rooms are a little faded. Staff was really nice and helpful though and breakfast was very good.”

“Wi-Fi was strong. Price was fair. Nice they had a room safe that was also easy to operate. We didn't use the pool or exercise facilities. They are in the middle of a remodel and I am sure it will look nicer afterwards, but very tired looking now. The room felt damp (too high humidity) even with the air conditioner running. The breakfast staff was very efficient and friendly and kept everything well-stocked. Would appreciate more variety in the hot portion of the breakfast. We stayed for 5 nights...

“We have stayed at this property before and sadly over the past couple of years the quality of service and the condition of the property have gone downhill. It took us almost an hour to check-in to our rooms and we were a little disturbed that the side door was unlocked all day and at night. No key card was needed to access that door. I am unsure we will chose to stay again.”
