“We don’t have a whole lot to complain about, so 4 stars is harsh, but Expedia didn’t give a 4.5 star option. It was a clean and quiet hotel where the rooms and public areas were all in good shape. (We didn’t have time to use their spa and pool.) If we were to stay in this area, I wouldn’t mind picking this hotel again. (I might prefer a different lake for water activities to avoid the freeway noise at Donner Lake, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.)

“Me and my son came for the weekend for a memorial basketball tournament. Upon our arrival, our room had already been paid for prior to check-in. However, once we entered the room, I immediately noticed stains on and around the toilet, stains on the bed sheets before we even laid down, and marks on the bathroom door. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience, especially considering the amount of money paid for this stay.

“Given the environment, and that I was there for a conference, which I knew would have me needing for my room to be an oasis, the premium room choice was a good one. Room was on a higher floor. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bedding was great and I was able to keep the room to a nice cool temperature. Wonderful facility but if possible, I do recommend upgrading your room choice to stay out of the fray and out of the noise.”
