Hotel a Debordieu Colony

“First time visiting the area and it was reasonably priced for a place right on the beach. Lovely to be able to be right there and not have to worry about parking, walking etc”

“The room smells dirty, almost like smoke and dirt…. Carpets in rooms and hallways are old and dirty and worn..even air conditioning in room smelled and it wasnt a good stay…beds are ok, not great.. We wont ever stay here again, .. we stayed here a few years ago and it was much nicer back then…. This hotel needs a major upgrade…”

“I felt very welcomed when I entered the house to check in. Obviously it’s a bed in brew so I was offered a nice cold IPA even before I did my check-in. It’s a fun place to stay. There are others that don’t stay at the hotel that come just to drink so you have a lot of companionship if you want others to talk with while you’re having your beer.”

“Beautiful ocean view from our room, we had the King Dunes. Very clean and staff was very friendly. Food and drinks at the pool bar were awesome. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back.”

“good stay until the plumping backed up into all the rooms on the bottom floor. great it happened on our last night there. everyone on the bottom floor was mad”

“The indoor pool is down and looks like a pond. The grounds by the road really needs to be cleaned up because it looks like a garage truck exploded but I’m pretty sure the state is supposed to maintaining roads and ditches. Either way, I’d clean it if I owned the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful.”

“Nice relaxing weekend with 5 star stay at Winyah Bay Club. Fantastic accommodations as advertised. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others. ”

“The staff were kind and engaging. The cleanliness of the room could’ve been a little more maintained. The air filter was not changed, so we had some issues with the air-conditioning. And there was mold growing around the vents in the condo. The pool was nice and the sauna was very nice as well as well as the exercise equipment in the gym area.”

“Everything was excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. Parking was easy. The property was exceptionally clean and quiet. The room was spotless and comfortable.”

“Rooms were dirty with dirty floors. Everything looked neglected. Bathrooms were poorly equipped, rusty faucets, broken sinks, etc. Air/heat units were on the edge of going out, noisy and had to move rooms because one did not work.”

“Everything was good EXCEPT Wendy the check out lady this AM gave me that classic southern attitude of hey boy you got a dog. Hey boy your credit card declined when it clearly wasn’t. Why do people have to ruin a nice hotel stay especially when you’re having time and being polite. Meh.”
