“The staff were exceptional. Belinda at checkin was awesome. Cee cee at the bar was a great host and great bartender. We did have two meals there and they were good also!!! When I visit Petersburg again I will definitely be staying there. 3 bars and a restaurant. The soap in the room smelled fragrant.”

“Staff was great and the Breakfast was good. Convenient to restaurants and our destinations. Only thing was the $5.00 parking a day that isn't advertised. Paid it this time for the 3 days but will find next time a hotel that doesn't charge to park. They charge enough already.”

Room was ready on time check in with MD at the Virginia location was super easy he was so kind and friendly made everything simple for me to enjoy my stay before returning home. “our room was very spacious. small fridge needs a freezer as well. for ice packs for travel back home. needs a ceiling fan. but, all in all it was a very nice place to stay.”

“It was horrible, the worst accommodation ever! Don't stop here... Every person who checked in before and after me had something to arguing with the hotel stuff. Door broken, old bathroom, dirty room, no fridge, no towels for 4, only for one and dirty! It was too late to leave and find something else. Wi-fi didn't work! A horrible night! It seems the hotel never had a refreshing in 50 years and more! Avoid it!”

“The only thing that I enjoyed was getting my full refund back within 24hrs. The staff were polite and did the best that they could, but I was in my room for two minutes before I checked out. Rudja and Lamont were kind and understanding. With all that being said, I think this place should be investigated, it's too much of a safety hazard.”

The room was comfortable and clean. The mansion is pre Civil War and furnished accordingly with antiques. If you're looking for modern hotel amenities you will be disappointed, but if you're looking for charm, warmth and a gracious host, you will love Ragland Mansion. Pet friendly as a welcome bonus!”
