“We had a wonderful short stay at the Belmond Maroma to celebrate our engagement. The staff and their service were top notch. In particular, Emanuel took great care of us.
The spa was wonderful for both treatments and some time in the hot/cold plunges, steam and sauna. “Absolutely wonderful place! Beautiful, relaxing, and everything smells so good!
My only complaint is the pool is unheated! My 2.5 year old had purple lips within 10 minutes of playing in it in 80° weather. The pool largely remains empty, as it’s just too uncomfortable.”

The room was great, having access to the entire resort was perfect. The kids loved the pool with the slide and rock jump. The food was decent overall, with the Mexican, Italian, and Mercato for lunch as our favorite option. The staff were all kind and friendly.
They clearly try to make the beach nice by cleaning seaweed every morning and barriers in the water, but we didn’t swim in the ocean. I knew that...
